Summary/Objective
The Bulk Stocker Lead is responsible for establishing and maintaining guest services. Additionally, assists in unloading delivery trucks and compares received products to packing lists to ensure that deliveries are complete. Assists management in ordering dog food. Gives direction to Bulk Stockers to maintain department standards.
Essential Functions

- Ensures that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest-friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest and by maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest services.
- Implements and maintains guest service standards.
- Maintains standard of dog food condition and rotation and presentation of product.
- Check dates and rotate any item with expiration date, positioning due-to-expire items up front or on top shelves.
- Maintains merchandising standards, display presentations, signing standards; monitors inventory level in dog food, cat food, litter, and bulk areas.
- Ensures proper completion through follow-up. Assists in monitoring sales performance through the analysis of sales reports and comparison shopping.
- Maintains adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Stock shelves, counters or tables with merchandise.
- Use ladder to fill in stock from “top stock”..
- Check dates and rotate any item with expiration date, positioning due-to-expire items up front or on top shelves.
- Set up displays on endcaps.
- Ensure correct pricing on product, particularly dog food.
- Upon 90 days of hire date, be able to successfully complete forklift certification training to safely operate vehicle.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
When needed, conducts the following:
- Receives products from vendor deliveries and unloads trucks at the loading docks.
- Compares packing lists to company purchase orders and ensures that the products in each delivery match the packing list.
- Adheres to all safety procedures according to company and OSHA standards.

Supervisor Responsibility
This position supervises the Bulk Stockers and is responsible for leadership of the employees within its department.
Work Environment
his job operates in a retail and warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This role also includes operating warehouse equipment such as bailers, forklifts, ladders, and pallet jacks.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items that weigh more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part time or full time position. Days and hours of work vary by schedule. Evening and weekend work are required as schedule demands.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Preferred Education and Experience
Some experience in the customer service industry.
