Brooke R.

I started off working with animals in 2009 at a small veterinarian’s office for cats and dogs. I gained 3 years of experience as a vet assistant there. After that I moved to Lynchburg, VA to take on other types of job opportunities. After about 5 years I moved to Hampton Roads and decided I wanted work with animals again. In 2017 I began my career with Care-A-Lot Pet Resorts as a Kennel Attendant at our Diamond Springs location in Virginia Beach. I am certified in human first aid and CPR and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to become certified in animal first aid and CPR.

Outside of work I enjoy riding four-wheeler and spending time outside playing basketball, softball and volleyball. I am a Girl Scout leader for a troop of daisies, brownies and juniors. I oversee the 4th and 5th grade juniors. I enjoy spending time with animals in my free time too and am always interested in volunteer opportunities working with them.

At Care-A-Lot Pet Supply I am surrounded by animals and I love getting to know their different personalities and characteristics and seeing them develop and grow. Animals have been a big part of my life and I am grateful that I get to work with them in my career.
